Jump START Your Nonprofit 2013 Contest Dates Announced!




Modern Office Methods (MOM) is holding its fourth year of Jump START Your Nonprofit in 2013. Jump START is a contest in which nonprofit [501(c)(3)] organizations located in the Cincinnati, Columbus, and Dayton, Ohio enter for a chance to win one of three office technology makeovers.  MOM will select 10 finalists from each market and invite the public to vote online at www.momnet.com for its favorite nonprofit organization in need of a technology jump-start. The top vote-getter in each market will receive one of the following:
  • Grand Prize Winner - $20,000 office technology makeover
  • First Runner-Up - $10,000 office technology makeover
  • Second Runner-Up - $5,000 office technology makeover

* Prizes are awarded based on votes accumulated. All prize values to be determined solely by MOM.

Monday, September 16 - Friday, October 11, 2013
Registration begins. Nonprofit organizations have approximately four weeks to register to win an office technology makeover. Go to www.momnet.com to register online or to download a registration form. You may also call 1-800-345-3888 to request a registration form by mail.

Online registration ends at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2013. All mailed entries must be postmarked by Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Mailed entries should be sent to:

Week of October 14, 2013
Finalists announced. MOM’s contest review committee will select ten finalists from each market to compete in Jump START Your Nonprofit. Finalists, and their 200-word award submissions, will be posted online at www.momnet.com.

Marketing materials distributed. MOM will send jump drives of downloadable marketing material to each finalist to assist in spreading the word to encourage supporters to vote.


Monday, October 21 - Friday, November 1, 2013
Online voting opens. Voting will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, October 21, 2013, and close at 5 p.m. on Friday, November 1, 2013. Nonprofit employees and their friends, families and supporters are encouraged to vote daily at www.momnet.com.


Week of November 4, 2013
Winners announced. The top vote-getter in each market will be named a Jump START Your Nonprofit winner. The winner that accumulates the most votes will earn the Grand Prize, a $20,000 technology makeover; the next highest vote-getter will receive a $10,000 technology makeover; and the winning organization with the third highest amount of votes will receive an office technology upgrade valued at $5,000.
